EMPLOYMENT:  Kuhn currently has a staff of 72 full and part-time employees that work both day and evening shifts. Kuhn accepts applications and resumes only for positions posted and currently open. The following employment opportunities are currently available with Kuhn:


Job Coach - Responsible for job skills training to disabled individuals.  Including transportation, hands on instruction and supervision of job operations, quality control, work flow and material handling to meet production demands in assigned job sites.  Participates in the development and implements the Rehabilitation plan to maximize each assigned client’s ability to function independently.


Employment Specialist-DMHAS - Employment Specialists are responsible for assisting individuals with severe and prolonged mental illness to become competitively employed in the community and to reach their maximum vocational potential.  This involves, but is not limited to, vocational assessments, job seeking skills training, issues related to personal appearance/presentation, entitlements training, time-limited job coaching, interview support and job development with the business community.  Must be able to provide employment related support to individuals with a wide range of skills/abilities.  Must be able to be flexible with work schedule to meet the needs of program participants and their employers.  Must be able to communicate effectively with other service providers to coordinate service delivery for program participants.


Employment Specialist/ East Hampton Based Program - The Employment Specialist is responsible for assisting students to become employed in the community and to reach their maximum vocational potential.  This involves, but is not limited to, vocational assessments, job seeking skills training, issues related to personal appearance/presentation, entitlements training,  job coaching and on going on site support, interview support and job development with the business community.  Must be able to provide employment related support to individuals with a wide range of skills/abilities.  Must be able to be flexible with work schedule to meet the needs of students and their employers.  Must be able to communicate effectively with other school administration and facility as well as other service providers to coordinate service delivery for program participants. Must be able to drive students to and from work site and or coordinate other arrangements.    


Vocational Specialist - Responsible for providing case management: liaison with Support Services for client case load, also includes career planning/program planning/implement data collection and review.  Oversees production of sub-contract work: maintains records, controls inventory flow, ensures deadlines.


Bi-Lingual Facilitator - Responsible for the development and implementation of behavioral programs for up to three participants in the Community Experience Program.  Facilitator is a hands on, direct care position and requires the facilitator be bi-lingual (English/Spanish).
