The Friends Of Kuhn Foundation

Friends of Kuhn make our programs a success! Turning dependent adults into fulfilled adults who can take care of themselves, work and earn an income, and feel pride of accomplishment in a job well done is what we do at Kuhn.  Looking to the future means laying a sound foundation.

The Friends of Kuhn Foundation was established in 1989 as a tax exempt organization under section 501(c)3 and described under 509(a)3 as a means to provide Kuhn Employment Opportunities, Inc. with long term financial stability in times of economic uncertainty. The goal of the Foundation is long term security with limited use of principle in order to allow for growth of funds.

The reserves from The Friends of Kuhn Foundation will provide Kuhn Employment Opportunities, Inc. with security, backing, and an opportunity for innovative programming so that, as a result of increased financial independence, cuts in government funding will not affect the quality of Kuhn's mission.

Each year, according to regulations on foundations, income from the growing principle will be distributed solely to Kuhn Employment Opportunities, Inc. to be allocated in a way which most effectively meets the needs of Kuhn participants.

Typical uses of funds are as follows:

--> For capital improvement, including the renovation of facilities.
--> For the purchase of equipment, such as vans and tools.
--> For the tuition of non-funded participants.
--> For the operation of the Kuhn Employment Opportunities, Inc. in deficit years.

If you would like to receive more information on preparation of a successful will, bequests, development of an estate plan, charitable remainder annuity trusts, remainder unitrusts, life estate contracts, or revocable living trusts, we will send you information as soon as possible. If you would like to know more about Kuhn, we would be happy to add you to our newsletter mailing list.

All contributions to the Friends of Kuhn Foundation, Inc. are tax-deductible in as much as the law allows. Bequests, legacies, transfers, or gifts are also deductible upon meeting applicable provisions.  For more information on The Friends of Kuhn Foundation, Inc. and different income-producing gift opportunities, through Planned Giving, contact Priscilla@KuhnEmployment.com
