Kuhn Programs & Services
Kuhn focuses its delivery of services to meet the employment needs of persons with disabilities. Ninety-four (94%) percent of all persons served receive community employment supports enabling participants to be successfully employed in the community. Other individuals served participate only in job assessments and individual program planning. Kuhn provides program planning, job skill assessment opportunities, job development, on-the-job training and supervision, and transportation services to meet
individual needs.
A work and community experience program affords the behaviorally challenged individual
the opportunity to focus upon behavioral and skill development through a variety of work and community experience opportunities.
The School to Work Assessment Program enables the
High School student the opportunity to explore work experiences in order to develop an advancement program plan.
This program works with the local school systems to provide job
assessments and for transition to work services.
Situational Assessments are provided in several employment
sites for individuals, as funded through the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services, BRS. Participants reside throughout Connecticut.
Parents and Family members are an integral part of each individual
participant's planning team. Kuhn welcomes participation of family members.

"To me
having Kuhn is just a Godsend. To have a place where
everyone is treated as a person. What if Kuhn wasn't
there? Kuhn participants never would have gotten
ahead, they are so proud of what they do and others would
not know what a delight these people are."
