Responsibilities include:

  • Training and supervision of accounting personnel
  • Payroll oversight
  • Financial reporting and monitoring
  • Preparation and reconciliation of schedules for financial audit
  • Oversight of agency’s assets and inventory
  • Monitoring for accuracy and timeliness payroll taxes, certifications, fuel tax reimbursement and sales tax
  • Assists CFO in other essential duties

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.
  • Previous experience as an accounting supervisor or manager. Nonprofit experience preferred.
  • Technical proficiency in Office Word, Excel and Quickbooks.
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards and state regulations.
  • Pays strict attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage employees while multi-tasking large projects.
  • Ability to produce financial reports and statements.
  • Available means of transportation,
  • automobile insurance in force per Kuhn’s specifications when using personal vehicle for work related purposes.
