As the Program Manager for Kuhn’s DMHAS-funded Program, Mary Apuzzo coordinates and oversees case assignments, staff training, and provides guidance to the Rushford team. She brings over 10 years of experience in the human services field, with a focus on supporting individuals navigating mental health, substance use, and other significant life challenges. Mary holds an Associate of Science in Human Services and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and is certified as both a Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) and a Recovery Coach Professional (RCP). She is currently pursuing her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Healthcare Leadership at SUNY Empire State College.

Mary’s professional journey includes roles as a Sober House Manager and Behavioral Technician Manager at 7 Summit Pathway in Tampa, Florida. Before entering the human services field, she worked in reality television—bringing a unique blend of creativity, adaptability, and people skills to her current work

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Mary is a firm believer that recovery can take many forms, whether from substance use, mental health conditions, trauma, or life’s unexpected detours. She is also the proud mother of three children.
