As the Program Manager for the Middletown DMHAS Program, Vanessa Avila coordinates the case assignments, training, and guidance of Middletown staff. Since 2013, Vanessa has held a variety of positions at Kuhn, including Employment Specialist, Transition Coordinator, and Senior Employment Specialist. She is also the recipient of the 2019 Ernest B. Kuhn Memorial Award in recognition of her dedication to the individuals she has served, and going above and beyond in her professional responsibilities. Vanessa has a Master's of Science in Professional Counseling from Central Connecticut State University, specializing in Vocational Rehabilitation.
Vanessa enjoys indoor gardening, visiting art galleries, and dining out at the many great restaurants in Connecticut.
